- Passive Limb Exercises – in case, nor moving your arms and legs
- Bed Exercises – to give stretch and strengthen the muscles
- Breathing Exercises – to prevent respiratory and vascular complications.
- Mobilisation – to let the patient walk, sit and stand safely
4.Kinesiology Taping
Kinesiology Taping is a rehabilitative method used to facilitate the body’s natural healing process, while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. Tapping is usually used by physiotherapists to change muscle tone, move lymphatic fluids, correct movement patterns, and improve posture.
Kinesiology tape is a therapeutic tape that is applied to the body to decrease pain, reduce swelling, and improve functionality. The process involves placing strips of Kinesiology tape on the body in specific directions for therapeutic purposes.
Kinesiology Taping is the most effective when used in conjunction with other physiotherapy techniques. Dr. Manoj Rajour has an experience of treating a wide variety of conditions using this therapy, some of them are mentioned below:
- Pain and swelling in cervical, shoulder, elbow, wrist, lumbar, hip or groin, knee and

5.Manual Therapy
Manual Therapy is a special form of physical therapy delivered with hands. It is a method by which physiotherapists can assess and treat their patients with skilled hand movements.
The basic aim is to improve tissue extensibility, increase range of motion, induce relaxation, mobilize or manipulate soft tissue and joints, modulate pain, change muscle function, improve movement patterns, and reduce soft tissue swelling, inflammation, or restriction.
There are various types of injuries or problems that can be treated with manual therapy. Some of them are:
- Neck Pain: Post-surgical neck pain, Muscle spasm, Disc Pathology, Rib hypomobility.
- Hip Pain: Myofascial hip pain, Hip impingement, Hip Bursitis, Post- Surgical Hip
- Ankle Pain: Chronic Ankle pain, Ankle Sprains, Post-Surgical Ankle Pain, Ankle Arthritis
- Lower Back Pain: Post-Surgical Back Pain, Disc Pathology, Spinal Stenosis.

- Ankle pain: Ankle sprain, Fused
- Elbow pain: Tennis elbow, Golfer’s
- Headaches / Migraines
- Knee Pain: Total Knee Replacements, IT band
- Shoulder Pain: Impingement Syndrome, Frozen Shoulder, Post-Surgical Shoulder, Rotator cuff
- Thoracic Spine or Mid-Back Spine
- Trigger points In Muscles.
- Temporomandibular joint Dysfunction
- Fibromyalgia
6.Cardiac Physiotherapy
Cardiac physiotherapy is a medically supervised program designed to improve a patient’s cardiovascular health if he/she has experienced heart attack, heart failure, angioplasty or heart surgery. Cardiac physiotherapy is an ongoing process over months, and sometimes longer. During the therapy process, Dr. Manoj will come up with a number of relaxation techniques to reduce stress and teach the patient the exercises that will make his/her legs and core muscles stronger.
During the commencement of the physiotherapy process, the doctor will do an assessment to tailor the program to the patient’s fitness level. The type and intensity of physical activity recommended will depend on the severity of the patient’s heart condition, and the doctor may check the patient’s blood pressure and oxygen level several times during the session.
7.Prenatal and Postnatal Physiotherapy
During pregnancy, a woman’s body undergoes dramatic change in a short period of time. As the baby grows inside her womb, her hormones, posture and balance change. With time, as the baby gets heavier, the pressure inside her abdomen and down onto her pelvic floor muscles increases. This pressure means that her pelvic floor muscles need to stay strong to support the weight of the baby from above and to prevent leakage of urine. The muscles, joints and ligaments undergo many changes which affect the whole body, and it is common to experience a variety of musculoskeletal symptoms.
Prenatal physiotherapy
Some common conditions a woman may experience during pregnancy include:
- Pelvic girdle/ Hip/ Groin/ Pubic pain
- Lower back/ Sacroiliac joint (SIJ) pain/ Sciatica
- Thoracic/ Rib pain
- Pelvic floor weakness and Urinary incontinence
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
As every pregnancy is different, Dr. Manoj Rajour designs a different program for different pregnancies. Based on the pregnancy, the treatment may include assessment and strengthening of the pelvic floor and core muscles, joint mobilisations, massage, an exercise program to maintain flexibility and strength, education and advice.
Postnatal Physiotherapy
Post pregnancy, there a woman experience weakening of her pelvic floor muscles. The pelvic floor muscles are vital for continence, pelvic stability and sexual function and they are adversely affected through pregnancy and delivery. To prevent long term problems, it is essential to start pelvic floor exercises as soon as possible. Postnatally a woman is often seen holding her baby in sustained positions and doing lots of lifting, which can lead to many aches and pains. Common problems experienced postnatally include:
- Stress and urge incontinence
- Pelvic and Lower back pain
- Upper back and Neck pain
- Diastasis Recti (Abdominal separation)
8.Traction Therapy
Traction therapy is a therapy that is based on the application of a longitudinal force to the axis of the spinal column. In simple words, the parts of the spinal column are pulled in the opposite directions to stabilize or change the position of the damaged parts of the spine. The force is generally applied to the skull through a series of weights or a fixation device. For the therapy it is required that the patient is either kept in bed or placed in a halo vest. Traction is a manual technique designed to reduce pressure on affected vertebral discs that are causing pain. Traction is a manual ‘stretching’ of the spine which reduces pressure on the discs and hence, reduces the individual’s pain.
It is a technique that is used to stretch the soft tissues and separate the joint surfaces or the bone fragments by using a pulling force. Dr. Manoj Rajour being the best physiotherapist in Delhi NCR, is very well experienced in Traction therapy. He has advanced knowledge about this therapy and he believes that people with specific spinal conditions benefit from this therapy. Traction therapy is most commonly used to treat conditions like:
- Bone spurs
- Slipped discs
- Herniated discs
- Degenerative disc disease
- Sciatica
- Facet disease
- Cervical spondylosis
- Foramina stenosis
- Pinched nerves
- Lumbar spondylosis
9.Pelvic Floor Therapy
Pelvic floor therapy is a therapy approach that uses the principles of physical therapy to provide an effective, structured and safe reconditioning of pelvic floor muscles. Pelvic floor physical therapy involves the pelvic floor muscle group, which is responsible for a variety of functions. These muscles support the pelvic organs, assist in bowel and bladder control, and contribute to sexual arousal and orgasm.
A person may be advised to take pelvic floor physical therapy to treat
- incontinence,
- difficulty with urination or bowel movements,
- constipation,
- chronic pelvic pain, and
- painful
The goal of this therapy is to improve the strength and the function of pelvic floor muscles and remove pain, weakness, and dysfunction in the muscles. During this therapy, Dr. Manoj Rajour, a skilled physical therapist, accesses the muscles through the rectum or vagina and makes manipulations on them to improve their strength and functioning. He may either stretch the muscles if they are short and contracted or apply resistance to improve strength if they are weak and dysfunctional.
10.Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy is a therapy that is used just as heat is used in the rehabilitation of injuries. This therapy is often used for fever reduction, pain relief, control bleeding, decrease in muscle spasm, prevention or reduction of edema from trauma and inflammation and reduction of spasticity. Cold is generally applied during the first 24 to 48 hours after an injury. Applying cold first usually results in a decrease in fluid filtration into the tissue interstitium, a decrease in metabolic rate and decrease in inflammation and pain.
This therapy is used to treat conditions like:
- A recent Injury
- Osteoarthritis
- Strains
- Gout
- Muscle spasm
- Tendinitis, or irritation in the Tendons
- Early acute injury and inflammation
- Fever reduction
- Spastic conditions
- Oedematous conditions
- Emergency care for burns
- Limited ROM secondary pain
11.Chest physiotherapy
Chest physiotherapy is a therapy that includes clearance of secretions from large and small airways and re-expansion of the non-ventilated lung. Dr.
Manoj Rajour is a specialist in Chest Therapy and has immense knowledge about the same.
This therapy is recommended for the patients in whom cough is insufficient to clear thick localized secretion
- Asthma
- Bronchitis
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
- Atelectasis
- Pneumonia
- Cystic fibrosis
- Bronchiectasis
- Emphysema
- Lung abscess
- Patients having difficulty in breathing
12.Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive therapy that uses low energy acoustic wave and a coupling medium to transmit sound waves to the tissues for the treatment. These sound waves produce a therapeutic effect causing a decrease in pain thus, increasing the mobility and functionality by triggering the body’s healing process. This modality is more commonly used while treating many musculoskeletal conditions, involving connective tissues such as ligaments and tendons.
Shock wave therapy offer a number of benefits like:
- It is a non-invasive method for treating acute and chronic pain.
- The therapy does not require
- It increases
- It decreases
- It has limited side
- This therapy is cost-effective.
- It is commonly used for the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
13.Post Covid physiotherapy
Post COVID physiotherapy is therapy that is given to the patients who have recovered from COVID -19 but are suffering from the long-term side- effects of the deadly disease. Post COVID physiotherapy helps in improving the functioning of the respiratory system, cardiovascular system and musculoskeletal. It also decreases depression and anxiety and improves cognition.
Post COVID physiotherapy not only improves overall strength and cognition but also the mental health of the patients. Other benefits of this therapy are listed below:
- Improves ventilation
- Improves oxygenation
- Decreases fatigue
- Decreases dyspnoea
- Increases muscle strength and functionality
- Causes easy and effective breathing
